Le single raconte l'épreuve d'un passé douloureux dans lequel les Africains ont été déportés de force des côtes africaines durant l'époque coloniale et, par conséquent, est l'histoire des Cap-Verdiens. Le projet est né d'une volonté profonde d'honorer ses ancêtres africains, dénonçant le racisme, les préjugés et les inégalités sociales.
The song narrates the ordeal of a painful past in which African people were forcibly deported from the African coasts during the colonial era and thus the history of the cape verdeans. Project was born out of a deep desire to pay tribute to her African ancestors by denouncing racism, prejudice and social inequalities.
